Accomodations

Enjoy your deluxe Beach Front Cabin in remote Alaska, which was hand built with Alaskan decor to provide you with every comfort available in the wilds of Alaska. The cabins hold up to six  people, and are fully furnished. There is a wood fired hot tub on the deck over looking the bay for guest to enjoy day or night.

Electricity

We have an Inverted Power System, meaning we generate power as needed for a short period of time, but we have batteries for 24 hour power. Please use the lights as needed, but remember to turn them off when you leave the room, or leave for the day.

Heat

The heater in the cabin is diesel. We set the temperature at 70, then use "Economy Plus"which allows the heater to heat 12 degrees higher, or to 82 degrees. When at 82 degrees, the heater will not come on again until the room temperature drops to 70 degrees. The cabin is tight and holds heat well. Feel free to turn the heater off.

Water

We are fortunate in Port Protection to have gravity fed spring water, it is absolutely delicious. No chlorine, no flouride, just clean, pure water.

TV

The television is there for your enjoyment as are the movies.

Barbecue

The barbecue is at your disposal.

SKIFF, MOTOR, AREA

Skiff

All we ask is that you watch the weather, take the outside waterway to Point Baker(the gut is very rocky, rocks make skiffs and engines brake) and inform us when you intend to leave the immediate area. There is a VHF radio in the dry box for emergencies. We stand by on channel 78. This is Alaska, the Last Wilderness, Please Respect that!

Motor

Should you have motor problems, never work on the motor yourself. Call on VHF 78 for assistance. Some helpful suggestions to prevent problems are, stay out of the kelp and, always make sure your motor is pumping water. If your not pumping water your motor will overheat.

You are responsible for the safety and the condition of the skiff and motor, as well as anyother gear you will be using. We have a "you brake you buy policy" The skiff and motor are to be returned in the same condition as you receive them. We clean, fuel, and check both daily. Should you have a problem report it immediately.

Have a wonderful time enjoying the wonders of Alaska!
