Besides fishing and hunting you can take a kayak and see ocean life up close. The Island also has an extensive cave system, so you could have a cave day as well. In 1999 Geologist discovered the remains of a 10,000 year old man less than a mile from our lodge.El Captain Cave is open May thru September. Besides caving and kayaking you can hike, go whale watching or veiw the wildlife. We also have berries you can pick for preserve’s, clams to dig, or crabs and shrimp to catch. The Island is also a bird watcher’s paradise. Many area’s on the Island are virtually undiscovered. You can also take a scenic drive in a vehicle and have a picnic at Memorial Beach and look for Orca's. There is also a floating bar and restaurant around the point from us which is the most unique experience you might have on your entire trip. If you want some more of the sights from the float plane that you came in on, extra fly out excursions are available.
